  Goodbye Daylight Savings…Hello Energy Savings!

Daylight savings ended November 2, 2008. Since it is getting darker earlier, people will be using more energy to light their homes in the evening hours.

A simple solution that can make a big impact, is to use energy saving light bulbs. When choosing a light bulb, make sure it is ENERGY STAR qualified (an international standard for energy efficient consumer products). ENERGY STAR qualified bulbs use about 75 percent less energy than standard incandescent bulbs and last up to 10 times longer.
Do Great Design
As we all know, November is a huge holiday shopping month. Stores traditionally refer to the day after Thanksgiving as "Black Friday," the busiest shopping day of the year. Recently online vendors have coined the term "Cyber Monday," referring to the Monday after Thanksgiving—the busiest online shopping day.

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!So if you are one of the many who shop online, we have a simple and easy way for you to do some good. GoodShop,is an amazing company that features tons of online vendor partners. Just use the GoodShopsite to search your favorite store and a percentage of your purchase will go to the charity of your choice.

GoodShopis powered by GoodSearch,a search engine that works in the same way to donate to a charity of your choosing. And the best part, if your favorite charity or school doesn't appear on the list, you can easily add them. It is so simple and searching or shopping the internet is something we do everyday, so why not take advantage of it to make a difference?
